Runbook

Tagline
Publishing theory fiction.

What this is
A publishing lab for executable ideas. We work in text, image, audio, video, and code. Belief is treated as infrastructure. We publish prototypes.

Why collapse
Collapse is not doom. Collapse is a method. We strip a system to its load bearing parts, reveal the hidden scaffolds, and rebuild paths that were declared impossible. The aim is not ruins. The aim is recommissioning.

Axioms

  1. Belief compiles. Myths and memes execute on bodies and networks. We profile their runtime.
  2. Images are machines. They produce attention, fear, devotion, cover, memory. We show the mechanics.
  3. Writing is an operating system. Footnotes are ports. Citations are lines. Keep the grid visible.
  4. Diaspora is an engine. Displacement yields routes, syntax, coalitions. Publish from movement.
  5. Spiritual inquiry without fundamentalism. Eschatology as research program. No dogma. No relativism.
  6. Anti fascist by design. No platform for exterminationist politics or their laundering.
  7. Accessibility is craft. Alt text, transcripts, captions, legible layout, small files.
  8. Credits are contracts. Name roles. No extraction.
  9. Consent or nothing. No scraping non consenting datasets. Document sources and training inputs.
  10. Error is data. Drafts, changelogs, retractions, postmortems belong in the record.
  11. Stewardship over spectacle. Slow care over churn.
  12. Infrastructure over vibe. Tools and protocols should outlast cycles.

Editorial method

Multiformat. Versioned. Source clean. Friction welcome. Accessibility first. Redundant archive. Care for contributors.

What we publish

Theory fiction that acts as operator. Research that crosswires cybernetics, belief, politics, ritual, diaspora, technique. Image essays and films with visible construction. Field notes. Manuals. Protocols. Errata that teach.

What we refuse

Aestheticized cruelty. Fascist apologia. Cultural extraction. Surveillance deals and data brokerage. Closed toolchains that trap. Ghost crediting. Unconsented datasets. Unpaid calls.

Distribution experiments

Small and durable. Lightweight web, printable zines, talks as files, community mirrors, peer to peer seeding. Persistence over platform.

Contributor covenant

You own your work. You license us to publish in agreed formats. No AI training without explicit permission. We credit every derivative or excerpt. You may request takedown or revision. We keep a minimal legal record and a public note that a change occurred.

Reader covenant

Read critically. Cite responsibly. Fork thoughtfully. Do not strip credits. Do not decontextualize to harm contributors. If you teach or translate, tell us.

House style

Plain where possible. Rigor where needed. Diagrams when text fails. No moral fog.

Roadmap

Through late 2026: publish in clusters, index, maintain the archive.
Late 2026: invite a guest curator to select a cross section.
Then: release an open source digital book with sources and documentation under a permissive license.
Then: produce a hard copy book with credits, ISBN, distribution notes, and a public changelog.

Invitation

Send work that tests a system. Send a diagram that rewires a myth. Send a ritual turned protocol. Send drafts that want a fight. Send rejected applications with postmortems.

Call sign
Publish like a bridge. Read like an accomplice.
