#override 1.1

A visual dialogue between the author and the Great Outdoors, or God, filtered through sunlight and fragments of her timeline – screens become vessels for prayers and proofs of hyperstition, silent witnesses of catharsis, where numerous processes converge in and through the author’s becoming.

The film, first audiovisual work in her self-taught career, is structured on the foundation set by a previous written work, a poem, voiced by one of her closest friends online – that emerged throughout a particularly troubled time of her life in between personal struggles within her family within and herself, all intersected through the process of graduating high school while dealing with a growing, as of now still medically untreated gender dysphoria.

Originally supposed to follow the metanarrative string set up by the works of Xafya Lovecraft, this film shaped itself as a cathartic affirmation of life, standing as a testament to the transition from one process of bare survival and self preservation to numerous intertwining struggles and lines of flight.

Finding itself in the poetic-theoretical space of “Internet Cinema”,  the film collects stills from the author’s pre-transition life, frozen within it as elegies to her coming of age in a post-rural town in northern Italy, seen as a sort of provincial “cocoon”, and recent clips shot in joyous, peaceful or turbulent moments mainly throughout this year; all of this is blended and combined with footage from the game “Nier:Automata” (2017) to emphasize on the work’s intersection with numerous worlds.
